SUPPORT US

We couldn't do it without you.

We're grateful for any and all support we receive from the community, whether that be through sharing our posts on social media or showing up at events to volunteer.

Financial contributions are also incredibly important: they're what help us pay for Zoom accounts, compensate speakers, and more! As Women's March Ottawa grows into a foundation providing financial support to grassroots feminist groups, financial contributions will be even more important.

Are you a business or organization looking to support our work? We now have corporate sponsorship options, and would love to work together to meet your organization's capacity and needs.

CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP

This has been a transformational year where in-person events were put on hold and the world created new ways of meeting, socializing and connecting. In tandem, organizations needed to find new ways of generating revenue and creating new ways of fundraising.

Over the past year, Women's March Ottawa (WMO) has launched its Foundation and incorporated as a non-profit organization with the view to create a fund for distributing micro-grants to local women’s community groups, as well as to support WMO programs. We expect to launch the application-based micro-grants program in 2022-2023.

We are now reaching out to the business community in Ottawa and, particularly, to women-owned or women-managed businesses, to enlist their financial support to stage the 2021 WMO May and October programs and to create the women’s community fund.

Please reach out to chat more about how we can work together.

THE MARCH 2021

The March will look very differently in 2021!  We are staging a hybrid program that includes a May 1-8 week-long schedule of virtual events and culminating in a march with families and friends - socially distanced - around neighbourhoods across Ottawa. The schedule and registration details can be found here.

BACKGROUND

WMO held its first march in January 2017 in solidarity with the demonstrators that descended on Washington, D.C. to raise awareness of women’s rights. But we are more than a march - we’re a movement.

In 2020 we became an independent organization incorporated as a non-profit.
